Lock illumination system (Mazda Capella GC)

On vehicles equipped with a door lock illumination system, the driver's door lock and ignition switch are illuminated for approximately 20 seconds after the door handle is lifted.

In addition to the lighting, this system includes elements such as a timer mounted on a bracket near the steering column and a switch on the door handle.



To access the door lock light and the switch on the door handle, you need to remove the door trim. To replace the switch, you need to remove the outer door handle (figure 13.70).
