Pic. 14.22. The central relay of the old (1) and new (2) types
The central relay is located on the left side of the engine compartment and is attached to the bracket with a nut (pic. 14.22).

With the ignition on, use a voltmeter to check that the voltage at the contacts «A», «WITH» And «D» equal to battery voltage (contact «IN» – «weight») (pic. 14.23).
To further check the relay, remove it and connect an ohmmeter between the contacts «A» And «IN» - the ohmmeter should show a resistance of 70 ohms.
Connect wire «masses» to contact «IN» and apply 12V to the contact «A».
Connect an ohmmeter between the contacts «WITH» And «D» and check the resistance. It must be zero.
After checking, install the relay in place.
