Removal
Remove the ignition distributor.
Drain the coolant and remove the thermostat.
To collect oil from the lid body, place newspapers or rags underneath it.
Unscrew the bolts and nuts securing the cover.
Carefully pry the cover away from the engine using a screwdriver wrapped in a rag.
Installation
Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the cover and cylinder head from any remaining sealant.
Apply a layer of sealant to the new gasket and install it on the housing.
Install the housing onto the cylinder head, screw on the mounting bolts and nuts and tighten them to the required torque.
Install the thermostat and fill the cooling system with fluid.
Install the ignition distributor.
