Remove the pressure plate mounting bolts, disconnect the vacuum hoses and remove the valves from the air cleaner (figure 14.31).
To check the valve, it is necessary to use a vacuum pump. Connect the valve with a piece of tubing, then slowly increase the vacuum and check that the valve begins to open at a pressure of 70–90 mmHg.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
