The battery's job is to supply current to the car's starter, glow plugs, car lighting, and other current consumers. The following maintenance should be carried out from time to time to ensure the battery has a long service life and its power is constantly maintained at a high level.

• The battery and surrounding parts must be kept clean at all times. The battery surface must be kept dry at all times, otherwise a surface leakage current may form between individual cells, which may cause the battery to discharge.
• The acid in the battery must always be at the level of the upper line on the battery wall. Distilled water is used for topping up.
