Caution! The engine must cool down completely.
Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Lubricate the exhaust manifold mounts with penetrating oil.
3. Disconnect the wires from the oxygen sensors.
4. Disconnect the EGR pipe from the rear exhaust manifold and cylinder head.
5. Remove the nuts securing the exhaust pipe to the front and rear exhaust manifolds.
6. Remove the bolts from the heat-insulating shields of both manifolds.
7. Remove the bolts securing the exhaust manifolds to the cylinder heads and remove the manifolds.
8. Inspect the manifolds for cracks and other damage.
Installation
1. Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the manifolds and cylinder heads. Check the degree of deformation of the mating surfaces of the collectors. If the deformation exceeds the permissible limits, the collectors must be machined in a specialized workshop.

2. Install new manifold gaskets.
3. Install the manifolds and tighten the manifold bolts and nuts.
4. Install the remaining parts.
