Removal
1. Remove the oil pan.
2. Remove the timing belt and crankshaft sprocket.
3. Unscrew 4 bolts (indicated by arrows) and remove the oil intake pipe.
4. Remove the air conditioning compressor and move it to the side, do not disconnect the hoses from the compressor.
5. Remove the compressor bracket.
6. Remove the power steering pump, remove the pump bracket and move the pump to the side without disconnecting the hoses from it.
7. Remove the oil pump bolts and remove the pump.
Examination
1. Remove the oil pump seal and gasket.
2. Unscrew the cap of the pressure reducing valve, remove the spring and piston.

3. Remove the screws and remove the oil pump cover.
4. Thoroughly clean and wipe the mating surfaces of the pump and cylinder block with acetone.
5. Remove the internal and external pump gears. Rinse all pump components in solvent.
6. Inspect the pressure relief valve springs and measure their length.
7. If the springs are damaged or their length does not meet specifications, replace the springs.
8. Install the gears into the pump housing and take the necessary measurements (see subsection 3.2.14).
Installation
1. Remove the crankshaft oil seal using a screwdriver.
2. Apply general purpose grease to the new seal and install it in place.
3. Install the pump gears into the casing.
4. Fill the pump cavities with Vaseline. Install the oil pump cover and tighten the cover screws, after lubricating them with sealant.
5. Lubricate the pressure relief valve piston with oil and install the valve elements into the pump housing.
6. Apply sealant to the mating surface of the pump.
7. Install the pump O-ring.
8. Install the pump, insert and tighten the bolts.
9. Install the remaining parts.
