Removal
1. Release the pressure in the fuel system and disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Drain the coolant.
3. Remove the air intake pipe.
4. Disconnect the cables, hoses and wires from the throttle body.

5. At the rear of the exhaust manifold, disconnect the wire (A), two fuel injector wires (B), fuel feed line (C), and vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator (D).

6. Disconnect the throttle cable (A), the two solenoid wires (B), and the bracket that holds the connectors. Bolt (C) is one of the bracket bolts.
7. Disconnect the wires from the spark plugs.

8. Remove the bolts and nuts from the manifold. Remove the manifold.
Installation
1. Clean off any remaining old gasket and carbon deposits from the mating surfaces of the manifold and cylinder head.

2. There are two coolant bypass tubes located under the intake manifold. These pipes are difficult to service, so be sure to replace the rubber coolant hose and hose clamps every time you remove the manifold.

3. Install new intake manifold gaskets and the manifold itself.
4. Tighten the manifold bolts and nuts in three steps to the specified torque.
