Lower connecting rod bearing shell; 10. Main bearing cap; 11. Lower main bearing shell; 12. Crankshaft; 13. Upper main bearing shell; 14. Thrust bearing half rings; 15. Oil jet; 16. Upper connecting rod bearing shell; 17. Piston rings; 18. Piston pin retaining rings; 19. Piston pin; 20. Piston; 21. Connecting rod; 22. Cylinder block
Secure the engine to a special stand or to the floor.
Make sure you have all the necessary tools.
If you are going to completely overhaul the engine, you will need to disassemble it and remove all the internal parts.
