Before starting assembly, you need to make sure that the head of the block is clean, regardless of whether this part was repaired in a car service workshop or not.
If the head of the block was handed over to a workshop for repair of valves, then the valves will already be installed in place assembled with all the details. In this case, start the assembly, guided by paragraph 4.
1. Install new oil seals on the valve guides. Fit the oil seals on the guide bushings with light hammer blows on the mandrel. Avoid turning the cap when fitting, make sure that it is put on the sleeve evenly, otherwise the valve stems will not be sealed.
2. Install the valves, being careful not to damage the flinger caps, lower spring washers, springs, poppets, and circlips.
3. Compress the valve spring with the tool and install the cotters. Release the spring, make sure that the crackers have entered the upper groove of the valve stem. If necessary, before removing the fixture, grease the crackers to better hold them.
4. Install the camshaft.
5. Lubricate rocker arms and rollers with fresh engine oil. Install the rocker arms with rollers and tighten the bolts to the specified torque and in the specified sequence.
