2. To check the sensor, disconnect the electrical connector from it (figure 13.2).

3. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it on stands. Block the rear wheels and put the transmission in neutral. Connect a voltmeter to the connector terminals. Hold one of the front wheels still and rotate the other one with your hands. The voltmeter should show voltage pulses from 0 to 5 V. If this is not the case, replace the sensor.
Replacement
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
5. Loosen the sensor mounting screw and remove the sensor from the transmission.
6. Replace the sensor sealing ring.
7. Install the sensor in sequence. reverse of removal.
