The vehicles described in this Manual may be equipped with a manual transmission with a 5-speed gearbox (Fig. 1.1), or a transmission with a 4-speed automatic hydromechanical gearbox. Information on servicing a manual transmission is provided in this section of the chapter. Automatic transmission service procedures are described in chapter 7B. Some information common to both transmissions, such as replacing shaft seals, is also given in chapter 7B.
