Removal
1. Remove the rocker arm assembly (Chapter 11).
2. Remove the cylinder head (Chapter 16).
3. Using a compressor to compress the valve springs, remove the valve retainers one by one. Unclamp the compressor and remove the supports and springs. Use pliers to remove the valve stem oil seal.

4. Remove the valves one by one with their holders and arrange them in a specific, numbered sequence to facilitate reinstallation. Cm. Section 2, Part B for the inspection procedure of valve components.
Installation
5. Insert the new valve stem seals into the guides and, using a suitable sized pipe and a hammer, seat them completely into their seats.
6. Coat the first valve stem with clean engine oil and install it into the original guide.
7. Install the valve springs and supports and, using a valve spring compressor, install the retainers.
8. Repeat the procedure for the remaining valves.
9. Install the rocker arm assembly and cylinder head.
