1. Remove the toothed drive belt (Chapter 5).
2. Remove the camshaft sprocket (Chapter 6).
3. Remove the old seal with a screwdriver, being careful not to damage the sealing surface.
4. Coat the lips of the new seal with a thin layer of engine oil.
5. Place the seal directly perpendicular to the hole with the protruding edges facing inward. Using a pipe of appropriate size, press the seal fully and evenly into the seal seat.
6. Install the sprocket, timing belt and cover.
