Location of the coolant temperature sensor (model with a 6-cylinder engine)

The coolant temperature sensor is a thermistor, meaning its resistance decreases as the sensor temperature increases.
Check that the sensor's resistance at room temperature is approximately 2200–2700 ohms. Heat the sensor to 80°C and check that its resistance decreases to 290–350 ohms. Replace the sensor if it is faulty.
Replacement
1. Disconnect the connection connector and carefully unscrew the sensor.
2. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
