The vacuum pump creates the vacuum required for the operation of the brake booster.
The vacuum pump is mounted on the rear side of the generator. It is driven by the generator shaft via a clutch.
Removal
1. Disconnect the vacuum hose by first loosening the clamp.
2. Unscrew and remove the oil pressure hose, first loosening the clamp.
3. Loosen the vacuum pump mounting bolts and remove the pump with the O-ring.
Installation
1. Check the O-ring of the vacuum pump for any damage, otherwise replace it.
2. Install the pump with the O-ring and tighten the mounting bolts to 7 Nm.
3. Place a small amount of engine oil into the vacuum pump oil hole.
4. Connect the fuel drain hose and secure with a clamp.
6. Connect the oil pressure hose and secure it with a clamp.
7. Connect the vacuum hose and secure with a clamp.
