Caution: Avoid spilling diesel fuel on coolant hoses. Otherwise, the bars should be wiped dry immediately. Damaged hoses must be replaced.
1. Make sure there is fuel in the fuel tank.
2. Open the air bleed screw (1) on the fuel filter.
3. Pump fuel from the fuel tank using a hand pump. The pump is located on top of the filter.

4. Pump fuel until fuel without air bubbles flows through the air bleed screw.
5. Close the air release screw under pressure from the hand pump.
6. Pump with a hand pump until (about 15 times), until resistance is felt.
7. If the engine does not start because an air lock has formed in the fuel line, loosen the union nuts on the injection nozzles and turn the starter until fuel comes out. Then tighten the union nuts again and start the engine.
