Checking the valve

Connect the valve to a 12V power source (positive wire (+) to the connector and ground wire (-) to the valve body). The stem should retract into the body. If not, replace the valve.
The solenoid valve on the high pressure fuel pump opens the supply when the ignition is turned on. It should be checked if the engine does not start or continues to run after the ignition is turned off.
Turn the ignition on and off. You should hear the solenoid valve click into action.
If the solenoid valve does not operate, check with a voltmeter whether voltage is supplied when the ignition is turned on. If there is no voltage, find the break in the drive using the electrical diagram and eliminate the defects.
If no defect is found, remove the drive and unscrew the valve.
Install the new valve with the gasket and tighten to 25 N·m. Connect the wire to the valve.
