Front crankshaft oil seal (Mazda Capella GE)

Replacement

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the lower engine shield.

3. Lock the crankshaft and remove the pulley bolt.



4. Remove the crankshaft pulley.

5. Remove the timing belt and crankshaft sprocket.

6. Remove the crankshaft sensor.



7. Remember the depth of the oil seal and remove it using a special tool or a screwdriver.

8. Clean the oil seal groove and lubricate the new oil seal with engine oil.



9. Install the seal back into place.

10. Install the remaining parts, start the engine and check for leaks.
