Pressure plate wear

Removing
1. Remove the gearbox.
2. Mark the installation position of the pressure plate on the flywheel.
3. Gradually unscrew the fixing bolts diagonally (arrows) and remove the pressure plate and clutch disc.
Inspection
1. Inspect the flywheel for cracks, overheating, grooves, or other damage.
2. Inspect the surface of the clutch disc for cracks, deformation or other damage. Check the condition of the rivets and springs.
3. Check the condition of the diaphragm spring and pressure plate for scratches, cracks and signs of overheating.
4. Inspect the bearing at the end of the crankshaft for wear, scratches, or other damage.
5. Remove the bearing.
Installation
1. Install a new pilot bearing with a drift.
2. Install the clutch disc and pressure plate to the flywheel while holding the clutch disc with the installation tool.
3. Loosely tighten the pressure plate mounting bolts.
4. Using the setting tool, adjust the position of the clutch disc and progressively tighten the pressure plate mounting bolts diagonally to the correct torque.
5. Lubricate the inner groove of the release bearing and install it in place.
6. Install the gearbox on the car.
