Removal
1. Remove the transmission (Section 7).
2. Remove the transmission drive disc (automatic) or pressure plate, clutch disc and flywheel (mechanical).
3. Remove the oil seal using a screwdriver (photo).
Tighten the seal from the inside to reduce the risk of damaging the landing bridge surface

Installation
4. Lubricate the new seal and install it with the tabs facing inward. Push it in slowly, applying force carefully and only on the outer edges, until the seal is completely seated in the hole (photo).
Lightly tap the outer periphery of the seal with a hammer and punch until the seal is completely seated
5. Install the clutch (Section 8), flywheel or drive disc and torque converter assembly. Use sealant on the bolt threads and tighten the bolts to the torque specified in the Specifications.
6. Install the transmission.
