Components associated with the removal and installation of the pallet

Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Jack up the front of the vehicle and securely support it on axle stands on the jack stands.
3. Drain the engine oil.
4. Remove the anti-rotation stop assembly.
5. Remove the right front wheel and inner fender panel.
6. Disconnect the front exhaust pipe.
7. Attach a suitable lifting device and lift the weight of the engine off the number 3 engine mount, loosen and remove the mount.
8. Remove the flywheel/torque converter drive plate cover. Also remove the protective panel of the pallet.
9. Remove the pan bolts.
10. Raise the front of the engine and break the oil pan gasket seal by inserting a screwdriver between the pan and the block.
11. Turn the front edge of the pan to the left and remove it from the engine.
12. Wash the tray thoroughly in solvent.
13. Clean the contact surfaces of the oil pan and the engine block.
Installation
14. If a gasket is not used, apply a 5mm layer of RTV sealant to the contact surface of the pan. If a gasket is used, apply sealant to the areas shown in the figure.
If using a pan gasket, apply sealant to the shaded area
15. Place the tray in place and install the mounting bolt. Tighten the bolt with the specified tightening torque Specification.
16. Assembly is carried out in reverse order.
17. After installation is complete, fill the engine with the quantity and grade of oil specified in the Specifications, start the engine and check for leaks.
