Bleeding the clutch system (Mazda Capella GD)

If any pipes have been connected or system parts have been replaced, the system must be purged of air by releasing it from the cylinder and pipes. During the work described below, it is necessary to maintain the liquid level in the receiver at least ⅔ of its volume, so that fresh air cannot enter the unit:

• Place the front of the car on jack stands.
• Remove the rubber cap from the threaded plug of the cylinder vent hole and place the air bleed hose on the plug. Place the end of the hose in a glass container with some brake fluid poured into it.
• Another person should press the clutch pedal with their hand several times and then press it to the floor.
• Open the screw plug. In this case, the liquid, together with the air, will rush into the glass vessel. Close the cap again.
• Repeat the air removal process until the liquid flowing out of the hose no longer contains air bubbles.
• Put on the rubber cap.
• Check the clutch operation mode.
