- To center the driven disk, a centering mandrel is usually required. For this purpose, the applied f. can be used. mazda special mandrel or available clutch shaft.
- If one of these options cannot be used, the driven disk can be centered with a mandrel whose outer diameter matches the inner diameter of the splined connection. A journal that has the same inner diameter as the crankshaft centering bearing can be screwed onto this mandrel. With skillful hands, you can center the disk by eye. When installing the driven disc, turn the longer side of the clutch disc sleeve outward, i.e. towards the gearbox.
- Before installing the clutch, lubricate the splined connection of the clutch shaft with a small amount of grease.
- If the old clutch is being installed, the clutch housing must be re-installed in accordance with the markings and mounted on the flywheel.
- The clutch bolts should be tightened crosswise in several steps to a final torque of 18-27 Nm, while the centering mandrel (or shaft) should be pulled out and inserted frequently to check for alignment.
