Caution! Gasoline is highly flammable, so take all fire safety precautions when working with any component of the fuel system. See warnings in the non-chele paragraph 2.
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Caution: If your vehicle's audio system is equipped with an anti-theft device, make sure you have the unlock code before disconnecting the battery.
2. Relieve pressure in the fuel system (see paragraph 2).
3. Remove the fuel tank (see paragraph 7).
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fuel pump. Release the fuel hose clamps and pull the hoses off the pump connections.
5. Unscrew the pump retaining ring using a hammer and a soft punch (figure 5.5).
Caution! Do not use a steel punch - it may create a spark and cause an explosion.

6. Remove the pump together with the fuel level sensor from the tank (figure 5.6).

7. Loosen the hose clamps and remove the top clamp from the hose, and slide the bottom clamp up from the pump outlet to the middle of the hose (figure 5.7).

8. Disconnect the electrical connector from the pump (figure 5.8).

9. Remove the mesh filter from the pump (figure 5.9).

10. Disconnect the pump from the support bracket.
11. Installation of the pump is carried out in reverse order. Install a new gasket on the pump flange.
