1. Repairs to the fuel tank and filler neck must be performed by a specialist with experience in such potentially dangerous work. Even after cleaning and flushing the tank, fuel vapors may remain in it, which can ignite during operation.
2. If the tank is removed from the vehicle, it must be kept in a place where there is no open flame and where the possibility of a spark, which is sufficient to ignite gasoline vapors, is excluded. Gas appliances with a "standby" wick are especially dangerous in this regard.
