Attention! Allow the engine to cool completely before starting this work.
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Warning. If your car's audio system is equipped with an anti-theft protection, make sure you know the unlock code before disconnecting the battery.
2. Remove the air duct connecting the air cleaner to the throttle body.
3. Disconnect the throttle position sensor electrical connector. Tag and disconnect all vacuum hoses from the throttle body as well.
4. Disconnect the accelerator cable and control cable from the throttle actuator "cruise control".
5. Disconnect the cooling system hoses from the damper body. Plug the hoses to prevent fluid from escaping.
6. Remove four nuts (or bolt) throttle body mounting (pic. 13.6) and remove it along with the gasket. Scrape off any remaining gasket from the mating surfaces of the throttle body and intake manifold.
7. Install damper body in reverse order. Install a new gasket under the housing. Adjust the accelerator cable (see paragraph 10). Check the coolant level and top up if necessary.
