Removal and installation



1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

Caution: If your vehicle's audio system is equipped with anti-theft protection, make sure you know the unlock code before disconnecting the battery.

5. From the engine compartment, pull the cable through the engine bulkhead.

6. Installation of the cable is carried out in reverse order. Make sure the rubber cable bushing is properly seated in the engine bulkhead.

7. Adjust the cable as follows:
  • a) Check the pedal free play. It should be within 1.5-5 mm.
  • b) Press the button of the cable adjustment sleeve and turn the sleeve to the non-locked position (figure 10.7).
  • c) Push in or pull out the cable guide to set the required free play. After completing the adjustment, turn the collar until it is locked with the button.
  • d) After adjustment, ask an assistant to check the operation of the throttle drive. When the accelerator pedal is fully depressed to the floor, the throttle valve should rotate to the fully open position. When the pedal is released, the throttle valve should return to the idle position. The pedal should have the free play value specified above. If the throttle valve does not open fully, loosen the pedal stop lock nut and adjust the stop as follows. so that the damper opens fully. After this, tighten the lock nut again
  • d) Make sure that the cable is not twisted, pinched or caught in any place.
