Power Steering Idle (EGI) Valve — adjustment (Mazda Capella GC)

1. Connect the tachometer to the engine, then start the engine and warm it up to normal temperature.

2. Disconnect the electrical wiring connector from the valve.

3. Connect ground to the GR terminal. With all electrical components off, the engine idle speed should be 950-1050 rpm. If not, adjust the valve screw as needed (photo).

4. Stop the engine, reconnect the connector and remove the tachometer.
