Details of economy mode indication system
2. Control lamps light up when engine speed exceeds 2800 rpm at the pressed pedal of management of giving of fuel. They do not work in 5th gear or when deceleration occurs.
3. The over throttle warning light comes on when the intake manifold vacuum is less than 96 - 140mmHg. It has no effect when the vacuum exceeds this amount.
4. To check the offset indicator, attach a tachometer to the engine. Start the engine and check that the control lamp works from 2650 to 2950 rpm, and remains lit when accelerating above this speed.
5. Disconnect a socket of electroconducting of switching to 5th transfer and attach a wire to clips. The indicator should not come on when the engine speed increases with increasing idling speed.
6. To check the over throttle indicator, disconnect the hose from the vacuum switch and attach a vacuum pump to it. With the ignition on, the indicator should come on when the vacuum is less than 96-140 mmHg, but should turn off when the vacuum exceeds this level.
