Air flow distribution control cable
Figure 13.50. Adjusting the air flow distribution cable: 1 – heated glass; 2 – cabin ventilation; 3 – stroke size
Set the control knob to the heating position and move the air flow distribution knob all the way forward. After this, connect the cable and install the clamp (figure 13.50).
Connect the cable to the negative battery terminal, turn the fan switch to position "4" and check that there is no air leakage through the center and lower air ducts.
Temperature control cable
Figure 13.51. Temperature control cable adjustment: 1 – cold air; 2 – warm air
Turn the temperature control knob to the cold position and move the cool/warm air selector lever to the cold end of the air supply, then connect the cable and clamp (figure 13.51).
The shift lever should move from the far left to the far right position.
Recirculated/fresh air selector cable
Pull the air flow distribution handle out as far as it will go.
Figure 13.52. Fastening the recirculated/fresh air switch cable: A – stroke size
Once the recirculated/fresh air selector cable is pulled all the way to the recirculated position, connect the cable and install the clamp (figure 13.52).
Check the operation of the cable by moving the control handle several times from one extreme position to the other.
