Loosen the air bleed screw located on the fuel filter a few turns (figure 4.21).
Using the hand pump located on top of the filter, pump fuel from the fuel tank.
Pump fuel until fuel comes out of the air bleed screw without air bubbles. Using the hand pump, tighten the air bleed screw.
Pump fuel with a hand pump until (about 15 times), until noticeable resistance is felt.

If the engine does not start because an air lock has formed in the fuel line, loosen the union nuts on the fuel injectors and turn the starter until fuel comes out of the loose connection (figure 4.22). Then tighten the union nuts again and start the engine.
Caution! Avoid allowing diesel fuel to come into contact with the cooling system hoses. Otherwise, the hoses should be wiped clean immediately. Replace damaged hoses.
