Checking the components of the electronic injection control system (since 1984) (Mazda Capella GC)

The EGR system control unit sends control signals to the injectors and the electromagnetic engine warm-up valve based on information from the following elements:

• ignition coils;
• air flow meter;
• incoming air temperature sensor;
• coolant temperature sensor;
• throttle position sensor;
• brake pedal switch;
• air conditioner switch;
• radiator fan switch;
• radiator fan motor;
• rear window defroster switch;
• headlight switch;
• engine crankshaft sensor with starter;
• battery.

Mazda dealers and Mazda repair shops have a digital code checker that allows you to quickly identify the source of the fault in the EGR system and fix the problem.

Please remember that it is prohibited to connect the tester to the control unit.
