Checking shock absorbers

1. Check the shock absorbers by bouncing the car up and down. Inspect the shock absorbers for leaks at the location indicated by the arrow. Check the reliability of the shock absorbers.

2. Inspect steering and suspension components for damage or deformation. Check the condition of the tie rod end boots (A) and ball joint boots (B).

3. Check the steering gear boots for cracks and signs of hydraulic fluid leakage.

4. Check the stabilizer bar bushings.

5. Grab the wheel and try to shake it. If the free play is too great, the suspension ball joints and steering rods are probably worn out. Replace them.
Checking the axle shaft boots

1. Spread the folds of the anthers with your fingers and inspect the anthers for cuts, cracks, or other damage.
2. Check the reliability of the clamps. Replace the anthers if necessary.
