The air conditioner can operate in both automatic and manual modes. In automatic mode, it is enough to set the desired air temperature in the cabin and the system will maintain it. Most people feel most comfortable at 21°C although, of course, this temperature varies from person to person.
In manual mode, one or more parameters of the atmosphere in the cabin can be adjusted as desired. At the same time, the remaining parameters continue to be controlled automatically.
In the center of the air conditioner control panel there is a display that shows the selected operating modes of the system and its parameters.
Note. On US-made or US-market models, air temperature may be displayed in degrees Fahrenheit.
When the air conditioner is running, water vapor condenses from the air, which can lead to the formation of puddles under the car in the parking lot. This is not a malfunction.
Temperature setting
The desired air temperature is adjusted by pressing the upper or lower protrusion of button 4. The temperature value can be monitored on the display of the air conditioner control panel.
Program "climate control"
After pressing the AUTO button, the system enters the mode of automatically maintaining the specified parameters of air in the passenger compartment, temperature, flow rate and distribution of air throughout the passenger compartment.
Turning the air conditioner on and off
To turn on the air conditioner, press the A/C button. The A/C symbol will appear on the display.
To turn off the air conditioner, press the same button again.
Air distribution throughout the cabin
Successive pressing of the MODE button allows you to direct the air flow:
- to the windshield;
- to the windshield and feet of the driver and passengers:
- to the feet of the driver and passengers;
- to the central and side ventilation grilles and to the feet of the driver and passengers;
- to the central and side ventilation grilles.
Cabin air recirculation control
When button 3 is pressed, the intake of outside air into the passenger compartment stops and recirculation of the air in the passenger compartment begins. This mode isolates the interior from the outside air, which allows you to get rid of outside dust or unpleasant odors.
However, it is not recommended to use the recirculation mode for a long time and, as soon as possible, you should return to the normal operation of the system with the inflow of outside air.
System shutdown
To turn off automatic mode, press the OFF button.
Rear window heater
The electric heater of the rear window and outside rear-view mirrors is switched on with one button 5 and operates only when the engine is running. After a certain period of time, which depends on the outdoor temperature, the electric heaters are switched off. Pressing button 5 again turns on the heaters for a few more minutes.
The heaters can be turned off even earlier by pressing the button again.
