1. The wiper arms and brushes should be periodically inspected for damaged parts and loose connections, as well as the condition of the brushes, which can crack and wear out.
2. Road dirt can settle on the brushes, which reduces the effectiveness of the cleaners, so the brushes should be washed periodically using neutral detergents.
3. During the operation of the wipers, bolts, nuts and clamps can loosen, so they must be inspected and, if necessary, tightened.
4. The most short-lived elements of windshield wipers are brushes. If the brushes are cracked. wear or have hardened and do not clean the glass well, then they just need to be replaced.
5. Move the wiper arm away from the glass.
6. Press the lock and remove the brush down from the hook at the end of the lever (pic. 10.6).
7. Squeeze the brush tips and pull the rubber band out of the metal frame (pic. 10.7).
8. Remove the metal holders from the old gum and install them on the new gum (pic. 10.9).
9. Insert the new rubber band into the brush frame and push it until the clips click into place.
10. Install the brush on the lever hook and slide it until the latch clicks into place.
