1. The fluid in the manual transmission must be changed at the specified intervals.
2. Before starting work, stock up on a sufficient amount of oil of the recommended type (see Recommended oils and fluids at the beginning of this chapter).
3. To do the job, you will also need: car stands, 3/8 ratchet wrench", dishes for draining liquid with a capacity of at least 4 liters, clean rags and old newspapers.
4. After the transmission has warmed up, park the vehicle on level ground, jack it up and place it on stands to access the drain plug. Substitute an empty container in the drain hole of the transmission and remove the plug. Let the liquid drain into the container.
5. Screw the plug back into place and tighten it carefully.
6. Fill in fresh oil through the check hole in the crankcase (see paragraph 17). Screw in and tighten the check hole plug.
