Examination



1. Start and warm up the engine.

2. Disconnect the hose from the vacuum pump and connect the vacuum gauge as shown in the figure. Check the vacuum value depending on the engine crankshaft speed.

Vacuum value (in 20 seconds):
  • at 1270 rpm: nominal - not less than 74.0 kPa
  • at 2450 rpm: nominal - not less than 94.0 kPa

at 2450 rpm: nominal - not less than 94.0 kPa


If the pressure is not normal, perform the following checks:

a) Check the oil pressure in the engine lubrication system (see chapter "Lubrication system").

b) Check the vacuum pump for damage and wear.

Replace faulty elements if necessary.

Removal and installation



1. Remove the battery and battery tray (see chapter "Maintenance and general check and adjustment procedures").

2. Remove the retainer shown in the figure.

3. Remove the parts in the order they are numbered in the assembly drawing "Removing and installing the vacuum pump".

2 - vacuum hose,
3 - bolt,
4 - vacuum pump,
5 - O-ring seal.


Note: Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
