The system consists of a starter, a traction relay and a battery. The battery transmits electrical energy to the traction relay, which then closes the circuit to the starter, which starts the engine.
The solenoid and starter are mounted together on the lower rear side (thermal insulation shield) engine. No periodic lubrication or maintenance is required.
The vehicle's electrical circuit is designed so that the starter can only be used when the gear selector is in Park or Neutral (automatic transmission).
Never operate the starter for more than 30 seconds without stopping. Allow to cool for at least two minutes.
