The air filter and crankcase ventilation filter must be replaced in accordance with the maintenance schedule. Between filter replacement operations, it is necessary to check their condition.
The air filter is located in the housing at the top of the engine. Remove the filter cover, which is secured with a wing nut and three clips.
Remove the air filter element from the housing. Wipe the inside of the air filter housing with a clean cloth.
Install the new filter element into the housing, making sure it is properly seated in the base of the housing.
The PCV filter is located on the side of the air filter housing. Remove the air filter cover and element.
Use a screwdriver to lift the filter and then remove it from the housing.
Install a new PCV filter and air filter.
Install the air filter cover, aligning the arrow on the filter with the arrow on the air intake manifold.
