The air filter and crankcase ventilation filter must be replaced in accordance with the maintenance schedule. Between filter replacement operations, check their condition.
The air filter is located in the housing at the top of the engine. Remove the filter cover, which is secured with a wing nut and three clips.
Remove the air filter element from the housing. Wipe the inside of the air filter housing with a clean cloth.
Install the new filter element into the housing making sure it is properly seated in the housing base.
The crankcase ventilation filter PCV is located on the side of the air filter housing. Remove the cover and air filter element.
Use a screwdriver to lift the filter and then remove it from the housing.
Install a new PCV crankcase ventilation filter and air filter.
Install the air filter cover, the arrow on the filter must be aligned with the arrow on the air inlet.
