Engine assembly sequence during major repairs (Mazda Capella GC)

Before beginning assembly, prepare all necessary new parts, gaskets and seals, as well as the following tools and equipment:

standard set of tools;
torque wrench with a 1/2" head";
piston ring installation tool;
ring compression mandrel;
pieces of rubber or plastic hoses for installation on the connecting rod cap bolts;
plastic calibrated rod;
set of feeler gauges;
needle file;
fresh motor oil;
rTV sealant;
locking compound that prevents threaded connections from loosening (blocking liquid).
To save time and labor, it is recommended to carry out assembly in the following order:
crankshaft and main bearings;
guide bearing (on models with manual transmission);
pistons with connecting rods;
rear oil seal and oil seal cover;
oil pump and oil receiver;
oil pan;
flywheel with clutch mechanism;
front engine mount bracket;
water pump;
cylinder head, camshaft, valve train;
front cover and front oil seal;
camshaft timing belt pulley and tensioner;
toothed belt and belt covers;
fuel pump;
back cover;
cylinder head cover;
emergency oil pressure sensor;
oil filter;
thermostat with housing;
ignition distributor, spark plugs, high-voltage wires;
coolant supply pipes with hoses;
intake and exhaust manifolds;
generator and brackets;
exhaust gas toxicity reduction system.
