Note: The hub and bearing form a single, non-separable unit. If the hub or bearing is faulty, replace the entire unit.
1. Loosen the rear wheel mounting nuts. Raise the rear of the vehicle and place it on stands. Remove the wheel.
2. Remove the cap and unbolt the hub nut.
3. Using a long-arm socket wrench, loosen the foot nut.
4. Remove the brake drum or brake disc (see chapter 9).
5. Unscrew the hub nut.
6. Remove the hub with the bearing.
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the hub nut to the specified torque. If your vehicle has rear disc brakes, tighten the caliper and bracket mounting bolts to the specified torque (see Technical data at the beginning of Chapter 9).
