Input shaft seal
Remove the gearbox.
Remove the torque converter from the input shaft.
Using a small screwdriver or punch, remove the old oil seal from the gearbox housing.
Lubricate the oil seal lips with clean engine oil and press the oil seal into the hole flush with the crankcase. The working edges of the stuffing box should be directed inside the crankcase.
Install the torque converter.
Install the gearbox.
Drive shaft seals
Disconnect the left drive shaft or intermediate drive shaft. Insert a wooden plug or similar plug to hold the differential pinions in place. Keep dirt out of the gearbox.
Using a screwdriver, remove the old oil seal from the gearbox housing.
Lubricate the seal lips with clean oil or white lithium base grease. With a tubular mandrel with a diameter of 45 mm, press the stuffing box into the hole. The working edges of the stuffing box should be directed inside the crankcase.
Install the left drive shaft or intermediate drive shaft.
