Pic. 15.31. Movement of the pneumatic shock absorber rod until it touches the throttle lever at a speed of 1900–2500 min-1: 1 - stock; 2 - throttle lever; 3 - locknut
Connect a tachometer to the engine and bring the engine speed to 2500 min-1. Slowly reduce the speed and determine at what speed the air damper rod touches the throttle lever (pic. 15.31). The stem should touch the lever at a speed of 1900–2500 min-1. If this does not happen, loosen the lock nut and rotate the air shock absorber to adjust its position. To replace, unscrew the locknut and unscrew the air spring from the bracket.
