Note: Before assuming brake failure, make sure that:
- a) Tires in good condition are incorrectly inflated.
- b) The front of the car is in good condition.
- c) The vehicle is not overloaded on one side.
58. The car pulls to one side when braking
1. The tires are not inflated correctly (chapter 1).
2. The front wheel axles are not aligned.
3. Different types of tires are installed on the left and right sides of the same axle.

3. Defective disk (chapter 9).
61. It takes a lot of pedal force to stop the car
1. The brake booster does not work (chapter 9).
2. The brake pads are worn out (chapter 9).
3. Piston sticking in the caliper or in the wheel cylinder (chapter 9).
4. Oiling of brake pads (chapter 9).
5. The new brake pads have not been worn in. It will take some time for the joints to settle in.
62. Long brake pedal travel
1. Not enough fluid in the master cylinder (chapters 1 and 9).
2. Air entering the system (chapters 1 and 9).
63. Braking with the pedal released
1. The pistons of the master brake cylinder do not return to their original position when the pedal is released (chapter 9).
2. The brake hoses are clogged (chapters 1 and 9).
3. The parking brake is not adjusted correctly (chapter 9).
4. The brake light switch is not adjusted correctly (the brake light comes on when the brake is released).
64. Jerks when braking
1. The brake pads are worn out (chapter 9).
2. The pressure regulator is faulty (chapter 9).
3. Brake pedal sticking (chapter 9).
65. The pedal sinks when pressed
1. Air in the brake system (chapter 9).
2. The master brake cylinder is poorly secured (chapter 9).
3. The master cylinder is faulty (chapter 9).
66. There is no resistance when pressing the pedal
1. Not enough brake fluid in the reservoir (chapter 9).
2. The brake system pipeline is damaged (chapter 9).
3. The master brake cylinder is faulty (chapter 9).
67. The parking brake does not hold
