Removal

1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

Caution: If your vehicle has a theft-protected audio system, make sure you have the unlock code before disconnecting the battery.

2. Raise the vehicle and support it securely.

3. Remove the lower splash guard from under the engine.

4. Drain the engine oil and unscrew the oil filter (see chapter 1).

5. Remove the oil dipstick.

6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the oxygen sensor. Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold and lower it down along with the catalytic converter.

7. Loosen the pan mounting bolts and remove the pan. If the pan is stuck to the crankcase, pry it off with a small screwdriver or knife. Do not damage the mating surfaces of the sump and crankcase.

Installation

8. Scrape off any remaining old gasket and sealant from the mating surfaces of the pan and boat. Wash the surfaces with nitro solvent or acetone.

9. Clean the threaded holes in the crankcase.

10. Check the flatness of the mating surface of the pallet, especially in the area of the bolt holes. If necessary, support the tray flange on a wooden block and straighten the plane with a hammer.

11. Inspect the pump oil intake for cracks and dirt on the intake screen (see paragraph 13). If the oil pickup pipe was clogged for some reason, install it now, replacing the sealing ring or gasket. Tighten the pump mounting bolt to the specified torque.

12. Apply a 5mm wide bead of RTB sealant to the tray flange.

Note: The tray should be installed within 5 minutes of applying the sealant.

13. Place the tray back in place and tighten the bolts. Tighten the bolts gradually, in three or four passes, starting from the middle of the pan outwards, until the specified torque is reached. specified in Technical data.

14. The rest of the assembly is carried out in the reverse order of disassembly. Install a new oil filter and fill the engine with oil. Replace the gaskets on the exhaust inlet pipe flanges.

15. Start the engine and make sure that the oil pressure is within normal limits and there are no leaks.
