2. Remove the mudguard from under the engine.
3. Raise the front of the vehicle and place it securely on stands. Remove the right front wheel.
4. Turn away the central bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft.
5. Using a puller, pull the damper off the crankshaft toe (pic. 11.5). The puller should be bolted to the pulley.
6. Remove the toothed belt and crankshaft sprocket (see paragraph 6).
7. Remove the crankshaft position sensor and move it to the side.
8. Note how deep the collar is recessed into the bore (it should be flush with the outer surface of the oil pump housing). Remove the cuff with a special cuff removal tool (fig 11.8), or with a screwdriver, wrapping the screwdriver shaft with tape so as not to damage the surface of the crankshaft.
9. Wipe surfaces of a nest under a cuff and a sock of a cranked shaft. Dip the new seal in clean engine oil.
10. Insert the cuff into the socket with the working edge inward. Press the cuff with a mandrel (piece of pipe or end head of suitable diameter) without distortion into the oil pump housing flush with its outer surface (pic. 11.10).
11. Reinstall the crankshaft sprocket and toothed belt (see paragraph 7).
12. Further assembly is performed in the reverse order of disassembly.
13. Start the engine and check for seal leakage.
