2. Fill the brake fluid reservoir with fresh DOT 3 brake fluid.
Caution: Do not drink used brake fluid or fluid that has been in an open container for a long time.
3. Raise the vehicle and support it on stands to facilitate access to the clutch slave cylinder, which is located on the front of the transmission.
4. Remove the cap from the bleed screw and put on a plastic hose so that its other end is below the slave cylinder. Place the other end of the hose in a container containing some brake fluid. Immerse the end of the hose in brake fluid.
5. Ask an assistant to press and hold the clutch pedal. Loosen the screw and allow the fluid to flow out of the hose (figure 5.5). When the liquid stops flowing, tighten the screw. After this, ask the assistant to release the pedal.

6. Continue this procedure until no more air bubbles come out of the hose. Periodically top up the brake fluid in the reservoir. Do not allow air to enter the master cylinder, as this will require repeating the entire bleeding procedure.
7. Place the cap on the screw and lower the vehicle. Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir again and top it up to the required level. Before operating the vehicle, check the clutch operation again.
