2. Locate the oil pressure sensor on your engine for the instrument panel indicator (figure 2.2, a, b).

3. Unscrew the oil pressure sensor and screw the pressure gauge into its place (you may need a suitable adapter for this).
4. Connect an accurate tachometer to the engine, following the manufacturer's instructions.

5. Measure the oil pressure with the engine fully warmed up and running and compare the results with Technical data at the beginning of this chapter. If the measured pressure is significantly lower than specified, the bearings and/or oil pressure sensor are worn and require attention.
