Flywheel and drive pulley (Mazda Capella GD)

Figure 105 shows the location of the flywheel and drive pulley on a gasoline engine. Diesel engines use similar parts. To release the flywheel or drive pulley, they must be held in the appropriate manner: insert a screwdriver into the ring gear while the bolts are being released. You can also drill a metal plate in two places and secure it to the flywheel with connecting bolts, then release the bolts. When securing the flywheel, place the plate on the other side. Tighten the bolts to the appropriate tightening torque.
